Large-scale J.S. Bach:

The ensemble can offer the major works by J.S. Bach, including:

St. Matthew Passion
St. John Passion
B minor Mass
Christmas Oratorio

Additionally, there is a wealth of music contained in the cantatas and the 'Lutheran Masses', and the Consort can create varied programmes consisting of these shorter, but equally inspired masterpieces. (This kind of programme can work well with smaller instrumental forces, particularly in the case of Bach's earliest cantatas - please see 'Chamber Music'.)

J.S. Bach: 'Storms of Life'
(SATB soli, strings, oboes, bassoon, bc)
A programme on Water - of turbulence and turmoil, baptism and celebration

G.Ph. Telemann: 'Hamburger Ebb und Fluth' ('Water Music' for instrumental ensemble) (20')
Jesus schläft, was soll ich hoffen? - BWV 81 (17')

NB: BBC Radio 3's 'Building a library'
recently recommended Peter Harvey's version of Cantata 56
for solo bass voice as the recording of choice

J.S. Bach: 'Grant us Peace'
(SATB soli, strings, oboes, bassoon, bc)

Am Abend aber desselbigen Sabbats - BWV 42 (24')
